The light shines only at the tip of each of the 50 fiber strands. The strands are approximately 24" long but can be cut shorter if required. The fibers are gathered together and held in place by a black plastic tube measuring 2-1/8"L X 3/4" dia. that contains a small light bulb. Attached to the tube is a battery case on a 23" wire which has an on-off switch and measures 2-1/4"L X 1-3/16"W X 9/16"D. The fibers are flexible and can be positioned to create interesting patterns of light and since the light shines only at the tip the fibers can be glued, taped or wired into position without affecting the display.
